“Aftershock”, The widely acclaimed Sachem High School First Robotics Team 263 recently visited Retlif’s Ronkonkoma New York location prior to the start of the 2019 robotics season.
Retlif Executive Vice President William Hayes hosted the enthusiastic group and discussed the vital importance of STEM (Science Technology Education Math) programs in high schools all across the US.
Mr. Hayes also presented lead Sachem facility member Mr. Andrew Cifuni with Retlif’s official 40th Anniversary Challenge Coin. Challenge coins, also known as “portrait medallions”, are commemorative pieces and heir to a tradition that dates back to the Roman Empire. The Retlif 40th anniversary coin will be prominently affixed to the Aftershock team’s robot for the 2019 robot competition.
Also present at the gathering was Retlif EMI Laboratory Supervisor Ron Hull, a past member of Team 263 Aftershock.
Retlif Testing Laboratories has proudly sponsored the Sachem High School robotics team for the past 18 years.
After the presentation, the Sachem High School First Robotics team was treated to a detailed tour of Retlif’s Ronkonkoma facility, including both the EMC and the Environmental laboratories.
