EUROPEAN TRANSMITTER APPROVALS

We have recently expanded our scope of services to include European approvals for low power wireless devices. Retlif may provide all necessary aspects of wireless product approval under the European Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive.

Our services include:

1. Identification of required radio test suites
2. Test Plan Development
3. Testing to all essential requirements of the Directive
4. Technical Construction File Preparation
5. Notified Body review
6. Member state notification

EXPANSION UPDATE

The 1,200 Sq. Ft. expansion of the NH facility has been completed. The stand alone support building is fully functional and is now being used for the storage of customer samples, equipment and records. Within the next several months, the OATS instrumentation and control room will be relocated to a portion of this building as well. These changes will allow for a larger customer lounge and additional engineering space within the current facility.

The first phase of the expansion of the 785 Marconi Avenue building has now been completed with the addition of a 1,000 Sq. Ft. new office space. This space will be used for our expanding ESS division technical staff as well as the computer controls of various test chambers and machines. All plans have been completed and all permits obtained related to a 2,000 Sq. Ft. laboratory expansion, which is scheduled to begin at the end of March.

NEW CD ROM AVAILABLE

ACCREDITATION ACTIVITIES

As a result of our on-going efforts to meet the needs of our clients, RETLIF (NY) will be adding Automotive EMC Testing to our A2LA Scope of Accreditation in the upcoming months. At the same time, A2LA will be performing routine surveillance of the Environmental Simulation Lab in support of our current Scope of Accreditation. RETLIF is also taking this opportunity to have a "gap analysis" performed by A2LA that will aid our transition to ISO 17025, the new laboratory accreditation standard that replaces ISO Guide 25.

Our NVLAP Accreditation's have also been on the move -- we have added CNS 13438 to our Scope of Accreditation, which together with a "CAB" designation by NIST allows us to provide EMC Testing Services for Taiwan. We are also adding CISPR 14 (EN55014), which addresses European EMC requirements appliances and electrical tools. Finally, our New Hampshire facility will undergo a semi-annual surveillance visit in early March by NVLAP in support of its EMC accreditation.
