EXPANSION UPDATE

Our facility expansions continue on all fronts. The framework of the 1200 sq. ft. New Hampshire facility expansion is completed. We expect the completion of the project by summer’s end. Final design work and the regulatory approval process continues for the expansion of New York’s 785 Marconi Avenue building facility and it is hoped that "ground-breaking" will occur by the end of August.

THANK YOU!

Sachem Central School District recently sent RETLIF a letter of appreciation and thanks for our commitment in time, money and support of the activities at the school in the "U.S. First Robotics Competition". This nationwide competition encourages scientific education and training through the design and building of robots, which compete in regional and national events. Bill Hayes, RETLIF’s General Manager, represented RETLIF in this commitment, donating as much as 20 hours a week for over a twelve-week period.

ACIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

As outgoing Chairman of ACIL, RETLIF’s President, Walter Poggi and his wife, Marilyn hosted the ACIL Summer Board Meeting at the Wyndham Windwatch Hotel & Golf Club on Long Island. Along with the traditional board meeting, the group enjoyed a tour of Long Island’s North Fork Wine Country and other local attractions.

EQUIPMENT UPGRADES

Our technical expansion continues at both the Ronkonkoma, NY and Goffstown, NH facilities.

Mil-Std emissions testing has been automated at both the NY and NH facilities through the acquisition of two Rhode & Schwarz model ESI-26 receivers systems. These receivers have a frequency range of 20 Hz to 26 GHz and are fully programmed to perform all Mil-Std emissions measurements.

Upgrade of RS03 capabilities in our NH facility continues. The addition of an Amplifier Research model 250W1000, coupled with the AD AT4000 antenna, increases our field strength capabilities to over 200 V/M in the 200 to 1000 Mhz range. Anticipated delivery of a 1 kilowatt, 10 KHz to 200 MHz, amplifier will complete our 200 V/M services in NH to 40 GHz.

At our NY facility, the addition of a Gigatronics GT9000S improves our RS03 services in the 1 to 20 GHz range.

INCREASE IN NVLAP SCOPE OF ACCREDIDATION

As a result of our most recent audit, RETLIF’s Scope of Accreditation under the NVLAP program has been increased to include the following:

Commercial EMC
This IEC 61000 series of standards was added to our scope in order to support RETLIF’s designation by NIST as a Conformity Assessment Body for the European Communities EMC Directive.

Included in the scope are the following standards:
IEC 61000-4-2
IEC 61000-4-3
IEC 61000-4-4
IEC 61000-4-5
IEC 61000-4-6
IEC 61000-4-8
IEC 61000-4-11

Military EMC
Our scope has been increased to include all test methods contained within Mil-Std-461/462D.

Telecommunications
In order to fully address the needs of our North American telecomm clients, Industry Canada Certification Specification 03:1999 (CS-03) has been added to our scope in order to allow Retlif to continue to provide this certification testing service.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS CERTIFICATION BODIES (TCB’s)

In order to address our clients desire to reduce time to market, RETLIF has formed an alliance with two of the recently announced FCC designated Telecommunications Certification Bodies. These alliances allow RETLIF to provide our clients with the option of continuing to file with the FCC or through the newly formed TCB’s.
