Responding to the needs of our Rail and Transit customers, Retlif is pleased to announce the addition of metallic dust testing to our broad scope of testing services. Metallic dust testing simulates the circulation of metal dust which is typically found in the harsh rail and transit operating environments. The new chamber features a large test sample area, measuring 8 ft. by 4 ft. by 8 ft. in size. The test chamber is both temperature and humidity controlled. The chamber also features a variable velocity control system which will allow for rapid conversion to a MIL-STD-810 sand chamber with velocity levels up to 5700 fpm.
