Richard Reitz, Retlif's Corporate Laboratory Manager, has had an article published in the July, 2006 issue of AEROSPACE ENGINEERING. The article titled, "Lightning Induced Transient Susceptibility Testing of Avionics Equipment" was an in depth outline of the lightning susceptibility testing required on avionics equipment as defined in Section 22 of RTCA DO-160. The article defined the requirements of the standard and discussed the critical aspects of "Assessing Damage Tolerance" and "Assessing Upset Tolerance".
