RETLIF recently completed its on-site NVLAP (Lab Codes: 100267-0 and 100267-1) laboratory accreditation audit in accordance with ISO-STD-17025. Since Retlif Testing Laboratories has one of the largest scopes of EMC Accreditation, this audit process took one week to complete with three assessors, who not only look at all of our Policies and Procedures but also witnessed many test methods. Our scope includes a wide variety of methods covering Military, Commercial, Safety, Telecom and Rail EMC Standards. Currently the Ronkonkoma, New York scope of accreditation has 134 individual test methods, and we are adding 14 more to that total. Our Goffstown, NH branch has 73 individual test methods, with 44 more methods being added as a result of this audit. Our next on-site audit will be two years from now, with the addition of our PA branch, and the increase in test methods, the audit will possibly take 2 weeks.
RETLIF was the first EMC laboratory in the country to petition the U.S. Government to create a NVLAP program in EMC testing on Jan. 23, 1985. RETLIF was accredit in the first round of NVLAP EMC accreditations, 20 years ago, and has remained an accredited EMC laboratory under the NVLAP program ever since.
