Walter A. Poggi, President of RETLIF, has been selected to receive the American Council of Independent Laboratories’ (ACIL) “Lewis E. Harris Fellow Award”. Washington, DC based ACIL is this country’s leading trade association representing the interests of the independent testing community. This award, ACIL’s highest, is given for “outstanding contribution to ACIL and the independent testing industry”.

Mr. Poggi has held many positions within ACIL including, Eastern Division Chairman, a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Government Relations Committee and is a Past President of ACIL. Mr. Poggi received the award at this year’s ACIL Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Commenting on the award, Mr. Poggi stated, “ACIL has been such an important part of my professional life and that of RETLIF itself, that I am humbled by this honor. It is clearly the highpoint of my professional career.”

In the 67-year history of ACIL only 14 Fellow Awards have been awarded.
