In February, RETLIF was visited by assessors from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) as part of their normal two year re-accreditation process. RETLIF successfully demonstrated the training, administrative, testing and documentation procedures required in order to have our existing accreditation “re-accredited” and even went further by having our scope of accredited test methods expanded to included Fluid Susceptibility, 901 Shock, Sand and Dust, Explosive Atmosphere and Fungus testing. Our A2LA accreditation addresses the services provided by our Environmental Simulation Laboratory and is perform in accordance with ISO-STD-17025, which for laboratories is the equivalent to ISO-9000 for manufacturers. Congratulations to Mike Bozza, our newly appointed QA Manager for his successful “baptism of fire”.
